Video Help
A Video can play in many different formats, many of which require small programs that you have to install on your machine called
‘plugins’. You may have one, or all of these already on your system.
The mainstream formats for streaming video on the web are Windows Media, Quicktime, and RealSystem. The Butler and Brown video is
available in Quicktime and Windows Media.
If you have an Mac you will almost certainly have Quicktime installed on your machine. If you are running Windows ME XP or Windows 2000 you will have Windows Media
Player installed as standard.
These videos were produced and upload in 2000, before people had broadband. At the time we had to be careful to produce videos that would stream over very slow connections. That is why they look small and bad quality by todays standards.
